DINA HADAD

Profile

A socio-legal scholar and legal consultant working at the intersection of international law, human rights, family law, migration, and cultural expertise. My work focuses on one central challenge: translating complex cultural realities into rigorous, evidence-based legal analysis that can support courts, legal practitioners, governments, and international organizations.

I specialize in navigating the often delicate relationship between universal human rights standards and diverse cultural practices. Rather than viewing these as competing frameworks, my research examines how culturally informed analysis can strengthen legal reasoning while upholding fundamental principles of equality, dignity, and justice.

With over a decade of experience in socio-legal research, international law, and legal innovation, I work at this critical intersection of human rights, the rule of law, and cultural expertise across regions (Europe and the Middle East). My research translates complex cultural and legal dynamics into rigorous, evidence-based analysis that supports courts, legal practitioners, governments, and international organizations. I specialize in navigating the relationship between universal human rights standards and diverse cultural practices, particularly in contexts of migration, cross-border family disputes, gender-based violence, and periods of conflict or political transition. Through socio-legal research, policy analysis, and independent expert reports, I help institutions make culturally informed decisions without compromising fundamental rights, equality, or the rule of law
